Easier than Craigslist?

December 5th, 2009

www.surfsie.com just launched into Beta this week – viewable at www.surfsie.com/Xxbeta – it’s intuitive. It just works.

Looking for a complementary service to Craigslist? Surfsie is your answer. It isn’t makeup on a [useful, albeit ugly] pig. It is simple, and accessible.

Craigslist is great for what is is, but it’s time something simple came into the scene. Try it out, leave feed back by clicking the read feedback tab on the left side of the page.

On Page Optimization

November 13th, 2009

It’s been a while since I’ve written on the site, so I figure I’d get started on a new topic: On-Page Optimization for organic searches.

Everybody and their cousin wants to rank high organically on Google. The problem is nobody understands how they really work, and unfortunately with so many forums and blogs misinforming their users, they aren’t being led in the right direction to properly optimize on-page content.

You have to plan your website out – and I figured the best way to teach this would be through a video of me walking you through an example fictitious website – stay tuned in two days it’ll be here.

Update on live SEO clinics…

October 9th, 2009

I’ve spent the last week promoting my live SEO clinics and have an interested group, but don’t have you… it’s free for a limited time.

Follow me on Twitter: @robdocherty and @semaddict and I’ll send you a reminder of when the first clinic will be held.

You’re going to learn from my perspective, looking at the content architecture, front-end XHTML/CSS, as well as different usability concerns of real-world clients of mine that volunteer their sites in exchange for a discount on effective search engine marketing and social media consulting.
